NASCAR RC racing set 12 cars, batteries & chargers, timing system, laptop, printer
1. Name - Dan
2. Location - Cinnaminson, NJ
3. Contact – unabletothinkofname@yahoo.com
4. Description - NASCAR RC racing set 12 cars, batteries & charger, timing system, laptop, printer
5. Price - $1500
This is an entire model car racing system containing radio controlled cars, transmitters for each car, computerized lap timing system, laptop, and color inkjet printer. I used this system as a small business to generate extra income, and to help non-profit organizations with fundraisers. Please see www.travelingminispeedway.com, RECENT PHOTOS, for pictures of various events.
You will get a set of twelve (12) 1/24 scale fully-proportional radio-controlled NASCAR-style stock cars. The chassis are Kyosho Mini Z MR-02s. I installed a mini-NASCAR conversion kit on each chassis to lengthen the wheelbase and allow the chassis to accept the clear polycarbonate body (see mininascar.com).
Each polycarbonate body was airbrushed on the inside with paint specifically for lexan (the paint flexes with the body and will not chip off). Since the paint is on the inside of each body, the paint will not get scratched in car collisions.
I then added Slixx vinyl NASCAR decals to the outside of each car and placed adhesive window tint on the inside of all windows. Lastly, I covered the decals with Oracal 951 clear vinyl to protect the decals.
I also added a few upgrades to each chassis. I replaced all plastic bushings with steel shielded ball bearings and replaced the original plastic steering knuckles with genuine Kyosho aluminum ones. Lastly, I attached wire leads to the battery compartment on each car to connect to a transponder.
Each car will come with its own computerized Futaba 2PL AM transmitter. This transmitter has 10 model memory, digitally-adjusted EPA (car's maximum speed and turning radius are adjustable), throttle and steering trim adjustments, servo reverse, and antilock brake adjustments. I glued a foam ball to the top of each transmitter antenna to prevent a user from getting poked in the eye by the antenna.
You will also receive nine (9) Tenergy T-6280 battery charger/dischargers. Eight of the T-6280s are capable of charging or discharging up to eight AA or eight AAA (or any combination of 8 AA and AAA) batteries at once. One of them no longer discharges.
You will also receive Duracell NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries for the cars (label says 1000 mAh). I recorded their current mAh capacities and grouped them accordingly. There are:
12 batteries with capacities ranging from 700 to 750 mAh
15 batteries with capacities ranging from 750 to 799 mAh
37 batteries with capacities ranging from 800 to 850 mAh
26 batteries with capacities ranging from 850 to 900 mAh
You will also receive 39 Energizer NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries, but I do not measure the capacities (label says 850 mAh).
You will also get 94 Tenergy NiMH AA rechargeable batteries (label says 2600 mAh but I very much doubt it). And, you will get 48 Duracell NiMH AA rechargeable batteries (labels say 2450, some say 2500 mAh).
The computerized timing system is from I-Lap ( www.rclapcounter.com), is very compact, and very reliable. You will receive the original program disc and a Sony Vaio laptop with Windows XP to run the program. I have run all 12 cars at once and never experienced any glitches. I will be including 12 transponders, all currently mounted in the cars, the timing bridge with three detectors, the decoder, and a 50' Ethernet cable.
You can then print out all race results for each participant with the included Canon Pixma ip100 portable color printer. It has ink currently loaded, and you will also get 3 extra color cartridges and 3 extra black cartridges.

I have one person showing some interest, but nothing solidified yet. So, still available until someone puts the money in my hand (or Paypal).
