F1 in 2018
Hi friends!
Been forever since I posted anything here, but given that some tracks have opened near me recently, I'm back on the track lately.
I know F1's popularity seems to be at a low right now but I'm hoping maybe I can convince some growth if people see mine on the track
I had some PN 6 degree RCP grooved tires on the rear and 15 degree RCP grooved tires in the front back when I was running it in 2010-2011 ish. While in storage, strangely those tires broke down and turned to disgusting sticky goop which I had to clean from my aluminum wheels (not fun). I can't find these exact tires anymore so I'm wondering for those that do still run F1, what are you running in the front and rear now tire wise?
I've noticed since I haven't been running, tire offerings have changed... PN completely changed their system and I'm not sure what is close to what I had before. I'm hoping some of you that are still running F1 can point me in a good direction.
Thanks!

Well, this probably won't help much regarding the competition side you're looking for. I don't know of anyone here locally running Mini-Z's. . I enjoy them though! I have a mini 96 set up and run Kyosho tires. I use 20 degree for rear and 30 degree for front on my F1's. A good tire for a mini 96 set up in my opinion. I know PN has a slick F1 8 degree rear Part#: R208R.

The PN KS listed F1 tires are really quite good. They are based on a slot car rubber compound and have excellent grip on smooth rcp.
Marka also has some F1 tire offerings which are good.
Sinister Why and his online store (Mini Car Club of Canada) are big into developing competitive F1 class so they have a pretty good selection of tires.

f1 is hotter than before! With the steady release of our cars and the xpower F1, there is nobetter time than to get into or back into F1.
We use marka 10 degree rears and either PN firms or medium for front depending on how much grip you want.
BTW- our latest offering the FR02 is a Lipo, double deck carbon, double a-arm chassis with a sensored esc and motor combo.

Ah the MC3 guys. I randomly raced with you all in 2011 when I was in town for Anime North and you were just getting started with F1 back then
Thanks for the replies. I’ll have to see if I can find Marka tires state side but if not I may just give PNs newer offerings a try.

Hello. I remember. I also remember you asking about the bakery smells from a nearby unit. There are quite a few marka resellers in the US.

Hello old friend,
I've been racing my arse off at RC Clubhouse in Warren, Michigan. They're open EVERYDAY! The
track is huge and I have tested the X-Force F1, and I must say it's one of the best 1:28 scale cars
I've driven! There's also a track at EXEL
drones in Ferndale. Check my Instagam
page (will3kgt) Hope you get to go soon.

I noticed your name on Clubhouses time sheet the other day haha. I’ve been going to Excel a lot as it’s a bit closer to me but I plan to hit Clubhouse up on a Sunday sometime in the near future

I've been to Exel twice, I have yet to race on their track. I'll be there to race on Thursday maybe.

As long as I don't have a relapse of whatever kept me stuck at home on Saturday I'll be there on Thursday. I arrive late because of my work hours but if you're there it'll be great to see you again
