Is this a good deal? and intro...

Hi All,

I've been playing with Mini-Z's for all of 5 days. After minute one, I was hooked! My first upgrade, after extensive reading, was to purchase the rayovac 1 hour charger and a set of Energizer 750mah NiMH, this immediately made my car faster than my nephews stock(just like mine) running off alkalines.

I busted a servo gear 2 days ago, so now I am waiting for a new parts package I got off of ebay. As far as I can tell, I got a good deal, but I wanted to see what people here thought of it...

Alum Front Upper Bulkhead - Blue
Delrin Ball Diff
Alum Motor Mount Heat Sink - Blue
Alum Tie Rod Set (1deg)
Alum Front Knuckle Arm - Blue
Delrin Servo Gears
Stainless Steel King Pin
Spring Set
Rear Damper Set
Rear Suspension Set
High Grip Tires (4 pcs)
Alum Wrench (silver)
Full Ball Bearing Set
Alum Wheel Nut (silver)
Antenna (black)
Graphite H-Bar

Total: 77.99 + $9 shipping and handling

The parts are all TopCad, is that a good deal or could I have done better, just so I know in the future?

Also, I didn't read anything about the Heipao problems until after I had ordered it for a nephew. Now the 16 bucks I paid for it seems way too high. !@#$#@! bastards. I knew it wasn't a real one but I thought it would be okay as it looked like you could use mini z parts on it, until I just saw my friends. NO ONE BUY THAT PIECE OF GARBAGE. My friend just got his in the mail and he stopped by on lunch to show me his, it was worse than a rat shack 20 dollar RC car. Even though I have one of the minis made in China, my car was way better, like BMW 7 series versus Ford Fiesta. Ugh what a piece of crap. You could probably use some Mini Z parts on it, but, well, you most likely wouldn't want to bother. I'd rather have a real stock mini z than that piece of garbage with the fastest motor on earth on it. Words can not propertly describe it's cheapness, although Draconis website makes a valiant effort to do so.

Oh well, ya live and learn.

I just got my parts in. Everything so far looks great... EXCEPT, the ball diff. It was obviously previously opened, and did not come with the pinion gears as advertised.

Anyone know what kind of problems a used ball diff could have, just in case this guy doesn't make good? I guess I shouldn't worry, he's got like 2000 positive remarks and has already left me positive feedback. Just a bummer that I now have to wait even longer for the ball diff. That was one of the 4 major things in this buy that I was looking forward to the most.

I'll see how he responds and I'll just be patient. <sigh>
