Hei Pao

I am just getting involved with minz and have seen these Hei Pao cars and was wondering if anyone knows if they are any good? What other companies make them and which are the best?

hahahahahaha, no, dont buy one of those cars, more suitable for a 2 yr old, if you want into the hobby cheap, buy an Iwaver

Hei Pao - in chinese means "black leopard" ...but to me, it means a piece of crap.

i think the best to start with is a genuine kyosho miniZ. double the price of an iwaver, but also double the performance.

Started looking into mini z's around December..looking on Ebay I found the hei pao's bidding starting at $1.00....gee maybe I should have taken that as a clue ...I got one for a $1 and one for $5...paid like maybe $10 each to ship ( which he then combined but still charged me full shipping even though it appeared I bought them from two different people more on that below)...basically I got ripped for $26 between the two. They came with one chasis and two bodies each. One body was broken and two others had scratches on them. Since I haven't driven an iwaver or mini z yet (2 iwaver 02's ordered ) I can't compare but they seem to be crap. They are just toys and now will be for my young son to crack up...oh wait one was already cracked up when I got it supposedly new. Be aware on ebay the guy selling the Hei pao's changed his name once I bought one from the same guy one each from his two different names like 1 day apart. Email address was the same. By the time I got mine he was gone from ebay and I could not leave any negative feedback or find him. There is now a new person selling hei pao's on ebay, probably the same guy but in any event they are at best not hobby rc cars. Take my word buy an iwaver or mini z depending on your money situation and forget that you ever heard of Hei Pao.
