As I noted in the prior LW build, these kits feel more like models with added kit contents like splitters, multi-part wing, light buckets, etc.
This one stood out to me for the bright red color scheme. It also doesn't hurt that it's light on the complexity with just some angled stripes. As always, getting symmetry is the most challenging part.

I do wish the livery had more decals for the rear half of the car, it's very forward heavy with the decals.

Looks great!

I saw this statement at Patto's: "New, much improved Flexi Ink released!!!

The Peel & Stick are also Silk Ink printed and are fine to be used as is. If you want a gloss finish on them, they can be sprayed with the same clear acrylic mentioned above but it is not necessary. Try the Peel & Stick. These are a lot better than previously available. They are thin and easily applied and disappear on the surface. Many people are changing to these from waterslide. Why dont you try and see?"

I'm not sure how old that statement is, and the last time I saw peel n stick decals was a few years ago. I've always been a waterslide guy myself, but I'm thinking about giving these a try. Did they change recently?

One thing I notice, even with Patto's waterslide decals, is that some types of decals don't take clear coat well, even Future. It's not that they don't "take" the clear coat, it's that the matte surface manages to remain orange-peely or matte.

Not sure. I botched a job really bad trying to adapt a water slide set to a body and I’ve had some almost melt so rather than waste that time, money and effort, I stick with the clear vinyl. You do see a pronounced ‘edge’ when compared to water slide but careful trimming helps keep this to a minimum. Just like water slide, you need to cut them all out. I find the clear vinyl much more durable as well. I don’t need to rely so much on a super hard clear coat to keep the decals from scratching off. For the more pro’s outweigh the con’s for vinyl.

The texture you see on the LB bodies is the plastic. It has a bit of orange peel texture to the actual surface.
