I did a little experimenting with range indoors today. I normally work in an area with a lot of electronic appliances, radios, cables, around cubicles and enclosed spaces. I tried running my mr-02 in there yesterday and was getting some pretty bad range. It seemed worst than normal for being inside and I get paranoid that I accidently fried my receiver when trying to install some LEDs (looking for the sweet spots with the battery connectors). Range was about 20 feet, and about 15 feet if the car went into certain areas. Though the radios didn't seem to have much affect (they are FM) on the reception, the refridgerator seemed to cause a lot of twitching. I was wondering if this was too short so tonight I took it to a cleared out warehouse with a high ceiling and a hole lotta nothing inside it, except for a few power cables. Range went up to about 40 feet in an open area in the warehouse before I got some twitching and uncontrolled throttle. In the corner of the building, range increased even more, to the point where the car was looking like a spec and I couldn't tell what direction it was facing. I still want to try it outside to ensure I have full range, but so far I assume if I'm getting good transmission around 50 feet in the warehouse and I don't need to worry.
