KO Propo AD Band

Have afew questions for some of you Ko propo AD band users: How do you like it and what motors are compatable with the board ? Have you've tried changing the parimeters for the throttle response ? Any other information would be useful. Thanks guys.

It seems like I'm the only one with the Ad band on this board its sad, the board has a very linear throttle and a more accurate and centres well servo with no twitch with almost 5 months of use now. I used Atomic's very own Ad band motor that is comparable with their T1 motor and its pretty fast. I wish I can find the software link to change the settings of this PCB but so far the stock setting runs very well. I can't wait to get the link and find all the hidden secrets behind this awsome Ad FM board.

Hey there Pchan, just out of curiosity, does the Atomic AD motor require a FET upgrade on the AD band to run? Does the AD band PCB have better than normal FETs to begin with or are they just Kyosho standard FETs?

The atomic AD band motor requires a fet upgrade on non AD band cars ( basically stock boards ). The AD band fet are 3010 and are better than the stock fets that come on the kyosho MR-02's. I also hear that if you want to run a hot motor with the AD band board, you need a fet-upgrade ?? Anybody knows anything about this ?

There is also four 3010 FETs on either side of the PCB making a 2 x 2 stack, they also layer on both side to eliminate heat problems from what I've heard making the PCB cooler. Also with their linear throttle response not like a normal board with FETs stack, it saves abit of power as well.

Did you order your Ad yet Roger?

Oh, I got your email awhile ago and I replied. Anyway, there is a setting link for the Ad band that lets you set servo speed, response, throttle frequency, and all sorts of stuff...

Something like this...

I placed an order for the PCB and the module, but I haven't received them yet... I'm going to Japan for a nice 2 wk. vacation, so I won't get to it until I get back. I have the clear black chassis all ready for it, and I'm looking forward to being able to run with fewer steering glitches.

Have fun in Japan. There are soo many high-end hobbyshops in Japan so be prepared to spend some fundage. Also, goto RC World. Four levels of radio control and the largest in Tokyo. The first level is water radio control, second and thrid level radio control ground ( cars, godzillas, etc......) and the forth level is planes.
