2006 summer points series

we started our new points series last night. We set up a huge track, we were averaging about 15 second laps.

the track is made from 5 wide L's with 6 wide inside corners and 2 45* track kits, using most but not all of them.

We off to a good start this year. if you would like follow the series at www.saltlakemini-z.com

if you would like to join us or will be in the area and want to race feel free to contact me. We would love to have you.

Wow,

I have never driven on a layout that large. I'll bet it takes slightly different skills to run on something where you don't basically have every corner memorized. I have to make my way out to Salt Lake one of these days.

do the math. a wide L runs $199.00 and you'll have a rough idea.

Hey,

Who are those two dorky lookin' guys in the garage on that second picture? Oh wait, that's me and Z Zaniac. Man, it's always weird to see yourself online.

Seriously though. It's a blast! I can't thank Brian enough for all the money and time spent on our club. It wouldn't be what it is without him. And at the same time, I CURSE him, because I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for him. Yep, just sitting here with all my track, my core timing system, my 3 MR-02's, my OL, my budding ASC collection, and my F1 on the way. Oh yeah, and my really angry wife glaring at me from across the room.

sonofa...

She's coming this way....

We ran our first Race with the Mini-z F1's. We had a field of 4, since Aaron was up for the race. We have at least 2 current members that are looking at F1's and will probably get them later. Looking forward to that.

it was the first race for all of us except for Aaron. needless to say he won.

it was great fun and will continue to be on our schedule.

Thanks all for the great GTG!
im glad nobody knew my new car so i was able circle around until they got most of the track set up...(hAHA, J/k).

it was a good time running in f1, i gave lynn a few taps, and rubbed tires with brian a couple of times....(maybe even sent him to the wall on purpose a few times )you guys are just as fast as i, but you just need to get used to the difference in driving style from a racer. Chad was fast right out of the box and i see that between you three and the wyoming group F1 will be very close!

in the first mr-02 main chad got the best of us all and i buckled down for the second and handed it out it right back to him

over all it was very close with some of us and we do have some beginners that is always a welcome variable (as long as they can go along with the old timers kidding around...lol) for instance chad was complaining of a glitching, so i made a joke about i get a glitch each time i get near one to the new guys cars that would tangle with me,,,,haha...im alway all in kidding around!

anyway i really look forward to the regional!

and i i hope we can get more than the expected 20 racers to attend!...

too bad airfare is so much for all you guys in the east!...maybe you all should rent a tour van/rv and road trip!

as for the two dorky guys...look closer, its really the three stooges...note kelly in the shadows...and we all can tell who curly is...haha

how many cars did we have racing at one time once all showed up? 9?

Wow

Has to be the nicest mini-z track I have ever seen. If only you were 4 hours closer to Denver.
