I've been at this for three weeks and I'm hooked. Building a second car soon with some of 3D printed stuff out there.
Before you get another car you should probably get a ball diff and tune this chassis so that it works. Your money would be much better spent on getting a tire truer and springs, t-plates, greases, tools, etc. These things are much more important than having the latest and greates upgrades. Just throwing on expensive parts will never make the car handle well. It looks like from that picture that you are using a trishock, without grease, and with the dds plates. Honestly running a pn 5 fiberglass or balck fiberglass with some 10k silicon oil and only the bottom dds plate gives the most consistent handling for a t-plate car. If you don't put a screw to adjust t-plate tension then keeping the center shock with a softer spring would also be good.

Thank you for the advise. Running 1/10 for almost 20 years - most of them being a TC racer I appreciate the set-up needs of these cars. I have the bases covered for support equipment. I'll try the suggestion on the DDS plate. Car worked well on its first night but always looking to improve. Club I'm at has some really fast racers. Appreciate the help - been reading a lot on here and the other forums.
hi all, we're running a new class at the club recently, 90mm narrow, here's the car i made for it, also has Xpower front lower plate with upside down king pin set up...
Nice... What kind of motor mount and top shock is on the last one? What rims too? Finally what body do you use on this?
hey Herman, cheers. The rims are Route 246 CE28N +2 front,+3 rear both chassis are using the Atomic SCS top shock and both are using Xpower motor mounts, on the 98mm I'm racing the 458 mostly but sometimes switch to the Mclaren C12.
For the upside-down kingpin mod, what kingpins are you guys using?
hey, this PN racing upgrade is the one I've been using, on the PN website there is a 'how to' on turning them upside down, you need PN top A arms too..
I have had success flipping the stock kingpin shaft and shimming to create a free and smooth system. Had to find a ball end that fit the lower control arms and was long enough to provide support to the kingpin through the whole suspension stroke. Much smoother then the stock setup.
