Unpainted Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 autoscale
Krylon Fusion Gloss Metallic Silver
Krylon Fusion Gloss Red Pepper

Krylon Gloss Metallic Gold
Tamiya Flat Red

Pattos Nissan GTR GT3 Godzilla No 84 2015 decals, 1/27 scale, clear vinyl in customized color and removed background colors

What can I say, I just like this livery. Always been a bit of Godzilla fan and find it fun that there is a race livery that incorporates this into an otherwise simplified stripe scheme. This is the third or forth one I've done now and second one in which I traced and cut the graphic into mask tape myself and feel confident I can now do this for all copies made in the future and then just need to tailor the colorization of the graphics to match what I want.
I had the decals custom color matched to the red I wanted. Not perfect match but close enough.

I had intended this one to be a dark grey and red combo however just as I was about to lay down the base coat, I decided to go with silver instead. In this case, I'm glad I did.

I was in a hurry to get some painting in before forecasted rain so I did not mask off the stripes on the rear, which was a mistake. I had to cut my own stripes from excess white decal and while it looks fine, I would have preferred to do the stripes in paint, which I've done in the past with good results.

Last minute change on the light buckets and wheels as well. I decided to go for a more vintage look with matte metallic gold which I thought might pair well with the silver/red. Still not sold on this choice though.

Fantastic work as always Ray!! How did you do the lightning bolts? Are those Plattos stickers?

Maybe bring it back and do a Maryland Pride Corvette?

yes, the lightning effects, race numbers and sponsors are all clear vinyl decals.

ah, had not even considered trying the Maryland Pride livery again. I'll have to give that some consideration. I don't know if I still have the templates I made for that livery. Maybe some twist to make it new.
