I also tried a set of the tires this weekend and add me to the list of the tires suck.

I was tempted on going to the race but now I'm glad i didn't waist the money on the plane ticket.

Z408 - any word on convincing Atomic to open up the tire rules? Or at least provide another compound?

I am afraid that it will just be a spin out fest. the 40's have a lot of front grip, but those 30 rears! WOW! like driving on oil..... Good thing we had a "rain race" last series at the track. I'll find a way to make the car just push and not do anything else but push... hehehe

lol... That sounds like RWD drift to me! Lock the diffs.

Edit: One more serious thing. Keep an eye on the weather forecast for the Bay Area and dress accordingly. We're getting some crazy wind and rain, wouldn't want anybody to turn into a popsicle before they take their frozen Z out of the bag.

Great, cold wether, crappy tires. I'll probably put chains around the tires to get grip

All things aside, it will be a ton of fun...

2.4 Hours of Le Mini-Z

This is going to be a fun event for all and it will give the out of towners a chance to run on the track with their own set-ups. To ensure that all racers get the most amount of track time, we are making this a one trasponder race. This means you can use any number of cars per team, you just need to share one transponder.

Date: 01/13/08
Start Time: 12 PM sharp.
Duration: 2.4 hours (144 minutes)
Team: 2 man
Chassis: Open to all 1/28th, mod or stock
Entry Fee: $25/per team

Prizes will be awarded for the top three positions.

Handout tires

Well it looks like we only crossed our fingers and not our toes. This will be a handout tire event. We are doing some testing now with the AWD and it looks very promising.
