The MR-03S Transceiver Module

FYI...

The lower-left IC labeled 'A7105' is the transceiver module (receiver) for the mini-z.

Here is the datasheet on that part should you have any receiver related issues/questions or ideas for modifications.

wow 89 pages now if it only made sense to me! lol would it be possible to change that chip with 1 from a receiver for another radio and have it work or would you have to change the part with the white stuff too?

Not too sure, but i don't see why it wouldn't work if you really had to. That part seems like it's more of a microcontroller that can be programmed, but has some radio frequency components in it as well. I've been trying to tap into the SPI protocol between it and the 8815 chip, but all my data analyzer picks up is garbage. Without knowing the exact protocol they are using, it's all cryptic and full of errors.

On page 81, they provided an example of the circuit that this chip needs to operate. This is a freebie for us as it pertains to the mini-z schematic, as I'm sure that most of this circuit resembles the actual mini-z layout.
