Last year I upgraded my MR02 with a Novak Spy ESC, Novak XXL Reciecer, 6 cells, PN S03 motor and a mini Hi-Tec Servo. My project works great, no glitching, super fast but on very technical courses I lose to the lighter Mini-Z's. Now I want to keep the speed & glitch free operation but lighten my car at the same time. So I figure I'll lose the hi-tec servo and go back to the stock servo and change my 6 cell setup to 2 Lithium ions. How do I connect the stock servo to the Novak XXL? If anyone knows how please reply. Thank you.
I think you will have to open up a standard servo and take out the PCB in it and wire your Mini-Z servo parts to it, the motor and pot. so you can plug it into your RX set.
what i want to do is exactly reverse of what u are doing.
i want to keep the mr01pcb while using a standard servo
i want to see if i can attach a standard servo with a servo waver on the mr01.
anyone have an mr01 and can answer my question?
(i only have mr02 but the body choice is too little, if this can be done, i'll get myself an mr01)
but i watn tto know if there are servo savers for small standard servos like that?
i've got a kawada... and i've used a kimbro servo saver on it...

is there some way to make a servo saver for MR01?
probably if you use ikinari's set up you can use the kimbro servo saver for it... but for the stock mr01 i havent seen one just yet... but heck if there's a will there's a way...
well there's a crude solution that i saw on a car one time... what the guy did was he shaped an aluminum bar and screwed it onto the fender... that way the walls (or cars or anything else) couldn't make contact with the wheel... not very good in the looks department but it'll do....
and i just thought of this... you could change all your 3 servo gears, and get the aluminum kind, but it'll cost you... with the aluminum servo gears, it'll almost be bullet proof, unless you're a hardcore racer, throwing caution to the wind and all...
i see~~ do you have a photo of your kawada with servo saver? i jsut want to make sure the servo together with the saver can fit into an mr01 with the stock servo and case removed.
