Any chance of a Ford GT LMGTE Pro Autoscale body?

Hello! I’m new here on the forums...am new to Mini-Z. (I had a lot of extra time on my hands recently...)

I saw the thread on new 2020 products, and wondered what the odds were that Kyosho would make an Autoscale(s) of the Ford GT LMGTE Pro cars that raced Le Mans in 2016-2019? (I’d be especially happy for the livery of either the 2016 No. 68 - class winner - or 2019 No. 69 - homage to the 1966 Miles/Hulme car.)

Does Kyosho ever ask for customer input or publish a multi-year release schedule?

I’ve always been partial to sports car racing (as opposed to open wheel or NASCAR), and it’s great that Mini-Z has so many sports car racing bodies to collect and drive.

Cheers!

Yes, Kyosho does occasionally pole people to see what demand is.

They do have the 2004-2006 GT in your standard street livery, solid color with stripes. You can see these on www.minizguide.com for example. Iwaver made a copy of this as well.

The current GT may be impossible do because of body lines being incompatible with the chassis, particularly at the rear with the open buttress, too much potential clash I suspect. Just assumption on my part.

Hello! Yes, I saw that there was/is an early 2000’s Ford GT autoscale, which made me hope that whatever relationship exists between Kyosho and Ford could lead to an autoscale of the newest GT body - with street and race versions. However, you make a good point that the new GT’s body design may be incompatible with the MR-03 chassis.

We’ll see...In the meantime, I’ll keep following your 2020 New Products thread and see what else is coming out this year...

Thanks!
