With the 02M chassis, you might want to do your own 2.4 conversion with either Kyosho's board, or an aftermarket board since Iwaver uses a real servo for steering.
I think the 04M would not be coming within 2008. We are currently doing some design and performance tweak on the chassis. (there might be a chance that we skip FM and go to 2.4G for it)
What happening this year should be BMW M3 and iwaver 03.
I think you should consider a 3rd party ESC and receiver, since the Kyosho one would not be able to use the steering servo.
im waiting for the AWD car from iwaver. it should be good.i think they should of came out with that before the truck or buggy.

Thank you for the kind words and warm welcome.... I have been a lurker in the site for quite some time...
This is the "final" version of my 2.4Ghz Iwaver:
* red "stripe" were bump marks from my red miniZ
Point of no return (I have to cut out some part of the battery holder to fit the micro servo, because it was longer than the stock):
on top of the servo is the 2.4Ghz receiver...this is where the original electronic PCB is positioned. I also have to cut-out the plastic cover to accomodate the pins of the receiver.
Battery is zip-tied and ESC is positioned on top, it is temporarily held in place by a heavy duty double-sided tape.
the standing IC (voltage regulator IC - 7806) with 2 capacitors is my DIY voltage regulator to bring down my battery power to 6v (for the receiver and servo) so I don't toast my servo and receiver. TEU104BK is an ESC for Lipo battery with a built-in lipo-voltage protection (it stops when it is nearly 6v) but it does not have a BEC.
the whole thing is now almost "stock" fit and neat enough
I followed the battery holder set-up from the Atomicbuilt mini-Z manhattan
I hope to put in a smaller ESC (like the MC230CR but I haven't gotten hold of it yet).
Some quick evaluation test I did on that unit was to run it with mini4WD Plasma Dash motor installed... it did 53kph top-speed on the dyno (like the manhattan).... but i could not drive it well on my small and short race track
