I have been speaking with brian in hfay about starting a dnano class and it is being considred. the reason it was not brought to life previously was due to hobby town being the sole usa distributer which meant lack of availability. now that all hobby shops can supply them it is being re-considered. this thread is being created to see and show if there is interest in racing dnanos in hfay ! whether you belong to a club or have a few friends and a basement track lets post here and show whether or not there is going to be enough racers to start racing competetively! if we can get this started we can take dnanos to a new level and certainly bring many new followers . whos with me ?

I'm with you but would we run a seperate mini-96 type layout or just run DNANO as a class like F1 is now?
And would i-lap introducing a transponder for the Dnano generate more interest vs the need to buy a Kyosho RF reader/latop timer?

i think we should use the same track as for mini-z since the wider lanes are usefull for multiple cars trying to pass eachother. and a transponder would absolutely help so racers wouldnt have to run 2 seperate lap counting systems ! also the kyosho system is expensive.

IMO that would be a mistake unless you want to bias yourself to Mini-Z anyway and just have Dnano as a novelty. RCP Tracks are very rough even for the Mini-Z itself. For the Dnano it will be just usable, but so very far from optimal. I would say if you want to do Dnano do it right or not at all. The Nanotrax setup is sweet for dNano. I have found it to be both a more exciting fun medium to drive on and also a more realistic surface in terms of the mimicking real cars on the asphault.
