Of what quality are GPM Parts? I'm noticing that they are much cheaper then optional Kyosho Parts. Is the quality worst? I'm looking to add a GPM Rear aluminium motor mount and a rear damper spring set.
thanks.
You'll find that most if not all of the aftermarket parts cost much less than the Kyosho Option parts. That being said, I've had good luck with the GPM parts that I have used in the past, battery heat sink, bulk head, suspension parts, etc. The only part that I had some problem with fitment was the motor mount. It takes a little manual adjustment to get it to work right with a 9 tooth pinion. The PN-Racing motor mounts fit the best in my opinion, both their Stock Mount (one with clip on heat sink) and Modified Mount (requires motor to have drilled holes). Their Modified Mount can handle pinions as large as 12t, while the Stock Mount fits up to a 9t without any problems.
The GPM shock should work, but when I went with PN-Racing, I decided to change everything else over as well. The PN-Racing rear shock is designed after the Kyosho Rear Shock but GPM uses their own unique design. It all works the same, but I just didn't like the green plastic on the GPM shocks
