Exclamation RCP track ideas

I posted some pics of my latest home rcp track layout. It might give some ideas for people that have a support pole in the way of making your track bigger. I cut the track out, so the pole is in middle of streight. I padded the pole. I took out the wall, added thin strpes of track to fill in and made foam plugs to fill in where the holes from track wall pins were. That gained me a couple more inches at pole. As you can see i used the long front streach as the wall for both streights. I also rounded the 1 corner off.

The foam i put around is the track walls cut in half. I put yellow tape around to see it better. Plenty of protection for cars and doesnt take to much room up.

I agree, very nicely executed.

That pole is pretty scary, but at least it's right after a turn, so speeds wouldn't be too high at that point.

That pole spices it up a bit . Where i run 1:10 we have a light pole to deal with, and it's solid concrete and the guy the runs it doesn't pad it . However since he lets us do the track leyout we useally try to put a board there.

You could always add some more obstacles/traps and stuff to make it more interesting.

Sure, why not? You could put a swinging ramp on the back side so that you have to time your z through it. The ramp could swing on and off the track. That would make it exciting for sure, by wether you would stay on the track and in the race or off the track waiting to be put back in the race.

My experiance with poles is that it's fine just as long as you don't fixate on it. Your car goes where your lookin so just don't look at it.
