Nice to hear that they are moving forward with your order. We shouldnt need to remind the companies that we have placed orders.
well I got ahold of themy yesterday as I still haven't gotten any parts, any communication, or even shipping info. Theynsaidnafter 15 working days to contact them and that's how long it's been. "If you did not receive your ordered item after 15 working days, you can inform us your situation via ENQUIRY FORM which is shown on the "Contact Us" page"
I used the enquiry tool on their website and no reply there. Sent a social media message and still no reply. sent a 2nd social media message 14 hours after and got back "Hi,sorry for late reply, payment refund.thanks" 2 hours after. No actual refund though. But at least they actually acknowledged Inhad sent them a message, it would show they read my messages, but they would never respond.
In recieved nonexplaination why I was being ignored, or why I haven't gotten parts, or anything. Pretty sad if that's how a company is ran.
Also, they said my payment was refunded, but I have a pretty big hunch they actually wont even attempt to refund my money, so I'm still going to get with Paypal to get my money back.
I thought x-power was under atomic. I think xspeed is under them too? xpeed stuff is pure garbage.
Not entirely sure on what the major players in mods are nowadays.
Outside of PN, doesn't look like anything is still going or they have moved on to larger scales. Try to get some stuff from kenon, the shop here, (if it is still going?) or the US based shops for the regular mini z stuff if you need.
Anything out of China will get here in a month and will still cost the same amount as before. I have gone back to some of my old japanese haunts, but for whatever reason they are hesitant to ship stateside now...
I have gone back to some of my old japanese haunts, but for whatever reason they are hesitant to ship stateside now...
because we don't have choice to ship to US as easily and as cheap now that EMS service to US is putting on hold since April and not yet to resume the service. So we rely on DHL, Fedex or other courier which is a pain to deal with locally. I just shipped something stateside and it was very difficult to find a courier.
Fair play for now, but it was happening a little before Covid (that still sounds unreal and weird).
I tried buying a FWD Civic from some shops last year and they basically told me they don't ship to international markets anymore. I didn't push it and ended up picking some stuff from China, but I just assumed the same thing happened with what happened with some of the japanese figure shops I frequented.
US buyers would import transformers and then find some small defect and want it replaced or would return it, which was a problem since takara would only support stuff sold in Asia. They would essentially do nothing since the figures weren't meant to be sold to the US and were sold by the shops exporting them. The shops would end up with chargebacks and other after sale messes, which with the cost of international shipping on returns is pretty bad for both sides. Didn't matter much to the larger shops with volume and shipping deals, but for the smaller ones it was a problem.
Figure and video game collectors are the worst lol. Zs collectors to be fair are generally hit and miss.
I wonder if kyoshoamerica would take care of something you buy from overseas? Would be cool but I'm guessing not...
They would not. Kyosho USA warranty only exists for for purchases from them, not Kyosho EU, Kyosho JDM. Which is why most recommend you always buy expensive things like radio's, etc. from in warranty market retailers.
That is not to say Kyosho USA might not fix whatever is wrong, but it will not be a warranty repair/replace. I've had mostly good experience with Kyosho USA.
JDM shipping restrictions were late in the game to be deployed and remain in place for USA, much to my chagrin. There is such a lag and supply shortage to NA market that JDM shops are invaluable at times but doesn't make sense currently when your package could sit on a ship for up to 3 months.
