Well, what’s worse than inserting the pins and screw tops on a new mini z track set? Unscrewing them all and flipping track from textured side to smooth side and having to reinstall them!!!
All the years I’ve ran mini z, I have never ran RCP on the smooth side. Before I purchased RCP track way back when, I purchased Eva foam mat from Big Lot’s and used PVC pipe as rails. I didn’t mind it, cars ran pretty good on that. It looks like those mats compared to smooth side of RCP might be fairly close.
I haven’t participated in the mini 96 challenge, but might. So, yesterday, I fired up the you tube on tv and jammed to 80’s rock while I made the change since they run the smooth side. Reminiscing the music of the 80’s rock was fun. I’m getting ready to go downstairs now to set it up since the October layout was posted today.
