DS Vette; work in progress.

Keep in mind that these are a work in progress. It is still very rough at this point. But I now have the body down on the six wheeled chassis. I took these as I am waiting for the glue to set up enough so I can move on with it.

Because it would be cool and unique. This is something I had in the back of my head for a long time. One idea had two diffs run off one motor, but this one is simpler using more off the shelf parts. And the two motors adds more weight to the driving wheels.

Here are more body shots. I sanded and stripped some of the old paint off. I will be using CSC on the rest of it. I would have filled it but the Tamiya light cure putty will not set well with it being overcast today.

Some more shots, this time with the T.S. wheels and ASC tires set to the outside edge to check clearance and offset. Using wide wheels, the front is 0 offset with the rears +1 and +2 offset. I may go with the +1 rears. The body will set a bit higher after the mounts get made and attached.

Here's a screen cap from my NFS3 game. You can see where I got the idea from. I don't think I will do the funky pipes on the side. I have also been at work on the mounts, the side mounts are done just need the nose mounted. Then the final wheel well shape and off to paint.

Here's some more screen caps. Right now I am working on the color for this body now that the mmounts are done. I am leaning toward the orange as it will be easier to see zipping around.

Now with some color on the body. The color is listed on the first picture. Added two more on the chassis. I still need my shop order for the tires to finish it off.

Last picture. With my offsets dialed in and the tires fitted. It has the right stance.
