I saw one for sale sometime back for around $300 USD. I didn't convert the Yen to USD so if that is in the same price range, sorry. I just figured the MMT was a lot cheaper.

No, that is way high. Quick rule of thumb I use is to drop the last two digits and that is your USD value approximately (100 yen = 1 US Dollar).

This set would be around $194 give or take a few dollars...

ITs a good idea but it doesnt seem to be worthwhile considering the cost of the OLs now.

Kyosho needs to make the LEs more performance oriented than just an x-speed.

any of the anniv. editions are worth the money considering they come fully hoped up.

sc... i've tried to find one of those for a couple months this last spring with no luck. they didn't apparently make many and they sold fast.

Yeah, but the $194 is MSRP for Japan and includes thier taxes. I rarely pay the "sticker" price. The shop that I go to in Tokyo will bargin with me after they take off the tax (bring the passport). I always send my buddy's to this shop. just wish I could remember the name of the damn place. Always have to draw a map and tell them to look for the Tamiya sign in the window.

Here is the PDF of the map I made if anyone else happens to go to Tokyo, it is in Akihabara's Electric City.

Bummer, day late and a dollar short...

Kyosho should make some comment that it is discontinued if that is the case

i don't think it's discontinued... i think production number were just low... nothing like the anniv. monster numbers.

if you can find one, get it

well, kyosho did just release the "special edition" type 6 monster...

i still get the impression that kyosho thinks that the OL is not nearly as marketable as the monster...

it would be kinda nice to have at least a special edition OL with some upgrades...

maybe Mini-Z outta offer a discounted upgrade package!?!
