You can also go to www.kyosho.co.jp and go to the distributor link section, for many other distributors in Europe.
Keep us updated on your progress. If you need more information or can't get the answers you need, we will contact Kyosho personally and find the best way for you to purchase our tracks.
RCP - I've checked out ripmax.com and rcp-parties.com and "drilled down" through the distributors list. I can't seem to find any websites offering RCP Tracks so maybe I need to use the old fashioned telephone and speak to someone !
Incidently, rcp-parties.com distributors page goes onto great planes website. The only uk website in there is irvineltd.com which doesn't mention RCP or mini-z stuff. Is that because they stock great planes stuff - hence the link from the gp distributors site ? Just a bit confusing for a lad like me !
Price is going to be a major issue at the end of the day. So I'm still considering making my own - no disrespect to RCP intended. I've been following latency and his track for some time now and I WAS going to build a "realistic" track but he's gone and bought some foam mats and covered the LCP Raceway. Anyone would have though he was taking this thing seriously . So I'm thinking of doing that (probably less work for me
Right, must go. Lots of non-Z related things to do today.
RCP - sorry to bother you (again) but I've just re-read your excellent FAQ. I'm particularly interested in the mini-tiles you mention in Q8. These are the smaller tiles that will have the kyosho label on them. Are these available yet (in the UK) ? And will ripmax know what I'm talking about when I ring/email them next week ?
Also, having searched this forum I found the following picture you posted -
The track picture that you posted is Kyosho's track. It comes complete with all the sections and rails shown. It is available through Kyosho distributors in both 30 cm and 50 cm tiles. It consists of 96 tiles and you can make many other configurations with the amount of tiles contained in this kit.
Kyosho currently has both tracks stocked at their warehouse in Japan. I will talk to them this week and find out the availability in the UK.
Spoke to RipMax just a moment ago - they don't stock mini-z's anymore as they aren't that popular in the UK They are thinking about stocking the "Mini-Z GrandPrix Circuit 30" kit but haven't made their minds up yet.
So looks like I've a long wait - overseas shipping even from somewhere else in Europe will be way too expensive. My only choice will be to buy this from a UK supply if and when they stock it. Which brings me onto the next question ;
RCP - what is the ballpark retail proce for this kit ? Presumably Kyosho will be setting this as its them who are marketting it ?
Buks
PS They knew straight away what I was talking about so either their staff are on the ball about every bit of equipment they do and don't stock OR a few people have contacted them in which case that should sway their decision to stock it.
Here in the states, our tracks have increased sales of the Mini-Z and other small RC cars and hopefully they will help increase enthusiasm in countries overseas as well.
I will be talking to Kyosho this week and I will find out availability in the UK and surrounding countries.
Great - thanks for the quick response. I presume you will be posting disto news in your FAQ ? I suppose I will have to keep checking it each day - unless you want to email me as soon as you know
Or post the news on your website (rc-parties.com) as I check that quite regularly too.
