Nice job on the front, looks sweet. No problems with turning?

we ran 3 for hours with no complaints other than a slight pull to the right out of right hand turns. tracks straight as an arrow though.

it seems the heat issue is all about the stock motor. the car with atomic stock never got hot all night

Part of the issue with the front being higher might be due to the fact in 1:10 we run the AWD with a bit more ride hieght in the front for better steering adjustment. K just might of translated that to the 1:28 chassis. I was thinking maybe just some sort of spacer where the front clip mounts to the chassis would lower the front down if that's what is wanted, rather then modifying the body. When i eventually get mine, the body i run in our future rallye races will take advantage of the extra clearance in the front and i'll need to rais the rear.

Love the pic of the red Modena, it looks good.

Here are a few pics of mine. I started to get some slippage in the rear left dogbone. I replaced it with an alloy one from an Xmod gen1, so I also had to change the rear wheels to match (as well as shim it to the correct width). Dont mind the paint job on the body. This is a body that has seen lots of hard racing action...

Here you can see the dogbones

They may start pulling to one side when the dogbones start to slip, to check, hold one rear wheel and turn the other. The drivetrain should move. If it doesnt, you have slippage. Same can be checked for the front (although I would expect it to happen more in the rear).

the modena does look nice

thanks for the possible explination for the ride height. sounds plausible.

i think i'll shim my nose clip to drop the front end

what if you raised the back a little... would that look weird... just seems to me if you're going into corners sideways for drifting you want some decent suspension, and with 4 wheel independant (finally) a little extra spring height would be nice.

I like the front spoiler you make on the Skyline, very drift craze style.

Maybe someone that owned the initial release of the Stratos can shed some light on this. I thought that the old one used the smaller diameter wheels and high profile tires. This latest glosscoat release has gone to standrad diameter tires and 11mm wide rears. Interesting.

I own an original release Stratos and it has standard wheels. To increase the ground clearance I use high profile tires from my Jota. With the higher diameter of the wheels it makes for a perfect rally car for outside use

Too bad the Stratos won't fit on a MA-010 but that car is not AWD anyway...

Yup, but I wouldn't mind "updating" it with 4WD...

Does anyone have a source for the old Mini Power 206 WRC bodies?

Don't know if they are in business any more but it was kai stylist in richmond mall, California. I bought 3 bodies and gave one to machine in hopes he could produce a lexan for all of us. Haven't heard back but it's hit or miss with the moulds I guess.

He charges high, like $25 each. I had some extras cash and picked up 8 bodies for like $200. 3 206's and the rest mr-01 supras. I'll probably runn 2-206's and my son will get the 3rd car for his time attack mr2.

True but a little CA glue can make it full time AWD.

torque steer. Motor is located parallel to chassis axis: when you accelerate out of turns motor tends to rotate the chassis and.... you see the picture.
All 1/10th cars i ever had had this. Fix (if really bad) - preload on springs on one side (left, as i think of it... might be wrong - havent race 1/10th for years..).
