LiPo Questions

OK, I'm new to using LiPo, just got my GLA (assembled by ByeBye) and bought some batteries and a charger however neglected to take into consideration the neecessary cables.

I purchased the following cells;
PULSE 300mAh 2S 7.4V 30C - LiPo Battery

I purchased the following charger;
SkyRC S60 AC Balance Charger/Discharger

I assume I need some variation of the following:
Safe Parallel Charge Board for UMX & 130X
Parallel (6x) JST-PH Charge & Balance Cable for Beast UMX
JST-PH Charge & Balance Cable for Beast UMX
Micro Paraboard Charge Board w/Micro JST & JST-PH Connectors

Thankfully this is all inexpensive, just overlooked all the accessories that come with using LiPo :

If it were me I'd choose the first "safe parallel charge board" listed:

1. It gives you 7.4V plug ins (the last listing is for 3.7V)
2. It has plenty of plug in choices
3. it has fuse protection on the board

I notice that the cell packs you've chosen offer up to 5C charge rate...I wouldn't recommend the charge rate of 1.5A as it is the limit of your fuse protection on the charge board.

Make sure you have some sort of charge protection bag as even little packs like these can cause a nice chemical fire if charging and the unforeseen puff/meltdown happens.

Once they create hard cases for these small packs I'm all-in on the 1/27TC concept.

thanks, bought them all due to slow response, especially with the site being down for a week. the 2nd and last items came in. Parallel (6x) JST-PH Charge & Balance Cable for Beast UMX seems to work. not sure what the optimal charge rate is but tested at 1.5A. Micro Paraboard Charge Board w/Micro JST & JST-PH Connectors does not work, all 2 pin connectors.

yes, i bought a lipo bag to store and charge the cells. it's not comforting to know i need a fireproof bag just to store or charge these.

I wouldn't stress too much about Chem fires if you make sure they don't get damaged during racing and you keep the charge rate on the lower side. I have packs for 10th TC that I could charge up to 8C rate but I tend to stay 1 to 2C max.
