I've been away from here for a VERY long time, but I'm stopping back through to ask a question... I just got a Mini-Z buggy to play around with in the house, and maybe at the new track that just opened up here in So Cal, and I also got the LiFe batteries and cable designed to work with it... my problem is, I can't figure out for the life of me how to get these dang batteries in the buggy... they really don't seem to fit... is there a mod I have to do to get them to fit in the chassis?
Thanks, guys... glad to see the forums and the shop are still up and running after all these years

The buggy staggers the batteries... which makes the life cells unable to drop in. You might be able to cut the chassis for clearance... it's been years since I've looked at my buggy.
You could also rewire the chassis to 2s2p, and use aaa size lithium cells to run 7.4v. I would only recommend that for a brushless configuration. Over 6v, these brushed motors don't last more than about a 20-30 minute runtime. LiFe has such low current, that they seem to run ok, but AAA has more punch (less top end).

Thanks for the info... I only bought the batteries because they were a ‘recommended accessory’ on Amain’s purchase page (where I bought the buggy)... my guess is that they don’t know that the batts don’t fit... it would have been a nice power upgrade since I’m not really planning on racing this... just playing in the house... it would be nice if they made AAA LiFe cells... that would be the best of both worlds...
