Futaba 2PL 27mhz AM Transmitter
Does anyone know where I can purchase a Futaba 2PL 27mhz AM Transmitter?
I've searched a number of places and even Futaba doesn't list it on their website. Any help would be appreciated.

If you mean 2PL, maybe that's why you haven't found the transmitter, I don't think there's such a thing as a PL2. Go to www. t o w e r h o b b i e s .com, they have 2PL transmitters for about 70 bucks. You could also get an Airtronics MX-A for a lot cheaper, 54 bucks or so. From what I read, it's just as good or even better than 2PL, just not as widely known.

Thanks for the correction, actually I meant to post 2PL and that is what I've been searching for.
Here's the Futaba page listing the 2PL transmitters http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futk01.html they don't list a 27mhz AM version.

Thanks for all the help guys! I've located one on eBay.
For general info, I purchased the 2PL 27mhz AM with two S3003 servos and one R142JE receiver for $82.00 shipped, from a US seller.

Actually, my wife just bought me a KO PROPO EX-10 Helios from the shop here for my birthday, very cool.
I still have my Futaba 2PL, it's basically brand new, I just put batteries in it so I could test the programing functions, it hasn't been out of the house. I might be willing to sell it to you if you're interested, if so shoot me an email through the forums, I'll send you some pics if you want.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.
Can I just buy a 2pl am and turn it on and play? does the reciever in the MR-02 work without having to do anything to the car?
Thanks
Chris

You may also need to adjust the pot on the board to center the steering with the trim on the radio set at center. But otherwise then yes the 2PL works great on a AM Z board.
