Mini-z body Shara

Received the first print of the Shara. The model is perfect and needs no editing.

- Low and ultrawide body! Needs a LM axle and largest wheel offset
- blower with air scoop and rear fake chassis are included but mount is optional for weight saving.
-Tested on a MR03 chassis stock (x-speed). Very stable and "square" behaviour. Rounded front nose will slide on obstacles. No rear overhang at all. Side body clip area very rigid due to the presence of the side air intakes (same effect as the Enzo body). Large side air intakes and rear openings will keep the motor cool.

Specs.

For MR02-03W. Needs a LM axle for correct widdness
wheelbase 98mm
+3F/+4.5R
Weight 17.8gr without snap-on accessories

Link

Pictured with Tagus +4.5 rear and +2 front (I don't have +3 Tagus 5 spokes).

Feel free to post your own realisations here. This thread is also open to requests for improvement of this body.

These are renderings of the car as it should look finished (will replace with pictures or the actual model when painted).

are these printed bodies durable - how do they compare to the actual autoscale?

Find a clear plastic tupperware box somewhere in your kitchen and twist it in all directions Thats about how it feels. It also reminds me of fishing line (its nylon).
It is also ultralight due to the air emprisonned in the structure, the weight is close to lexan.
About durability, I tried to snatch a mirror on a body, I had to fold and twist it several times before it broke.

I look forward to your tests with these bodies, it might be something revolutionary.

Already did that test but now with a painted body

video

This body has a thickness of 0.75mm. If made thicker like the autoscales (1 to 1.5mm) it would be more rigid and really indestructible.
Heavier also. The Camaro you see here weights 14.7gr bare/19.6gr with the paint.

So, are the side clips integrated into the shell on all of these or do we still have to get sets (from your shapeway or elsewhere)?

The side clips are integrated into the shell. Those in my shop are for regular bodies (autoscale, white bodies).
