I know it has been discussed before, but I haven't really been able to locate a concrete answer. Are the RCP style mats available anywhere else? I venture to say they weren't only produced to be used for RC racing only. I know there are similar mats that aren't exactly the same, but are there any that ARE the same that anyone knows of? I've tried to get someone at RCP to call me back but have had no luck at all. I've never been around an RCP track in person so I don't know exactly what the texture looks/feels like. Is it more of a foam/foam rubber, or more of a rubber content? Thanks in advance for any input.
I have never seen the rcp material anywhere else. It is more porous than similar style foam mats. There is a rough side and a smooth side with different group characteristics.

It's an EVA foam of some kind. I've never been able to get an MSD document on the materials, I've asked.
I've never seen another tile that has accurately replicated the rough texture RCP has. You can find similar tiles with similar finish for the smooth side but even this is difference than most. It lacks the smooth finish that most have almost as if it were left unprocessed.
RCP does also make toy grade tile that has what you would consider a more standard foam tile finish however it is not marketed toward hobby class scale racing and more recreational toy racing.
