Inspired by optima's thread and having to thoroughly test a new cam, here goes a real quickie-
Curses, looks like there is some dust/oil on the sensor, but I'll probably wait a bit and maybe try to blow it out before resorting to a free repair Nikon's offering right now.
thanks for the accolade
So you have a "cursed" D600? I think my camera's sensor itself is prone to dust but I hide it by darkening/vignetting the ground plane.
But the dust particles on the car itself are difficult to remove because I usually work in the dark and I don't notice them but once in front of my computer
My trick is to keep the body in a closed recipient (an Autoscale case for example) and remove it at the last moment for the shooting, in order to lessen the dust present in the room to stick on it.
I also use a sensor brush to wipe off the dust from the car (Arctic Butterfly)…
Please keep posting! Go! Go!
Ended up being quite a minute, but here's another go at it.
Still looking for a good lighting tech/setup, and its kinda bogging me down. White card over bad black materials I have for sure, much easier to just brighten up and make disappear in post processing.
Very beautiful!
I forgot to tell you in my MP that you need to wipe out the dust particles as soon as you find them because it's really a hassle to get rid of them afterwards. Usually I do it in Lightroom but the best is to delete them before taking the shot. For this purpose, arctic butterfly is great.

Well, I just cut out the rough area of the car+reflection and then just paint the town black after that. A bit easier for me since blowing the dust off EVERY time I feel like shooting is more of a pain than erasing it in post that I'll have to do anyway.
