I have purchased a new MR03 sports. I have just bought the PN racing adjustable motor mount and can't fit my stock motor in it. I have searched for some motors (mainly the PN racing 50t or 70t) on a few sites but they say the motors are not compatible with my MR03S.
So my question is what motor can I buy that will fit my mount and is also compatible with my MR03 sports?

Welcome to the Forums! The PN 70T and 50T should be fine. I was not aware of certain motors not being compatible with the MR-03 Sport.
The way most aftermarket motors connect to aftermarket mounts (from PN and others) is with two screws that go through a plate in the mount and into the front of the motor. The stock motor (and some other Kyosho motors) do not have the threaded holes in the front of the motor to connect to aftermarket mounts, which I think is was you are describing.
I would start with a PN 70T or 50T and then go from there if you need more speed.
thanks for the reply Traveler. I asked the same question on the PN racing site and they said that none of there motors would work on my MR03S unless I upgraded the FETs.
Do I need to do this to put any new motor on a MR03S? I don't race my car so I thought a FET upgrade wasn't necessary. I only bought the motor mount so I can fit different bodys and use the same mount.

If you're just running for the fun of it, a 70turn with an 8 or 9 tooth pinion gear should be more than enough. Just make sure the motor contacts get screwed down properly. Make sure the contact rings aren't touching anything other than the square pads around the holes, and don't let the wire connections cross into each other.

Thanks for the advice guys! I shall go ahead and purchase a 70t motor and see how it goes. I think I will keep the FET upgrade for a future project. Just out of curiosity is it easy to do a FET upgrade yourself? I have a very basic understanding of electronics and I live in an area where there isn't a good hobby/model store that could do it for me.
