Lay down crystal adaptor

I do believe our problems and searches for a lay down crystal adaptor is at an end.

When I first got my MA010 I wanted to run my NSX body on it but alas the crystal stuck up too high and hit the inside of the windshield. This is a problem with several bodies we would all like to run on our AWDs.

I do have a solution.

The stock crystal has a height of .45 inches
My lay down adaptor has a height of .397 that alone will allow many additional bodies to fit. The adaptor top can also be sanded down, I currently have one that is sanded down to .362 and the NSX now fits like a glove.

The only mods required to the car is the cutting of the top PCB cover, the adaptor is plug in just like the crystal. The crystal then plugs into the side of the adaptor and screws down tight so that the crystal can't fall out or wiggle free....NO SOLDERING required!

DBR Lay Down Crystal Adaptor loose

DBR Lay Down Crystal Adaptor installed

This NSX GT body is at stock height, with the laydown adaptor I can now lower the body even more (body is a little rough, it is in the middle of a repaint but had no glass so as to show the clearance.)

I have tested my adaptor and found no glitching or reduction in range.
My adaptors are cheap and available now for immediate delivery.
Cost is $5.00 shipped by First Class within USA and $6.00 shipped by Air Worldwide

Agter you guys posted that reply I did drive to town (35 miles one way) and checked Radio Shack and yup you can get them there, so if you have a RS close then there is your cheap source.
If you don't have a RS close then I still will have these parts available shipped right to your door.

Nope, all this city, and nothing within 30 miles that races in an organized manner. If someone set up a track in Raleigh, they could make a killing. Say hi, to your Dad and Mom and all the guys for me.
