Darn!Almost had Swampers

Dang! I lost an ebay auction for swampers!!I didn't wanna pay more than $14 bucks so I stopped and started bidding on the Mud Terrains. The same guy outbid me on those! Hopefully the seller will make more and sell more on ebay.

P.S. RCM, that wasn't you selling them was it?

Nope it wasn't RCM, (although he is making tires again)

Those auctions were from Davkin, also a regular member here.

Oh. He made them? Because the description said it was hand cast and may have imperfections and stuff.

Ya it was me. I'm only selling on ebay for now because I just don't have time to cast tires to order. I have another tire i'm working as well, kind of a staggered Chevron about the same size as the mud terrains. May be a couple weeks before I'm selling those.

I make molds from RTV silicone rubber. I pour a castable 2 part urethane rubber into mold, put it in a pressure tank at 50+ psi to cure for at least 8 hours. That's it in a nutshell, of course the details get much more complicated.

That seems time consuming and complicated.

Not to mention expensive to get started. If it was easy everybody would do it, right?

Oh, you know the Mud Terrains picture comparison to the stock tires, the Mud Terrains are wider than the Swampers right? If so, then why don't they stick out of the fenders like the Swampers do?

Yes, the MT's are wider than the Swampers, a bit anyways. As to how far they stick out it just depends on how far you slide them onto he wheels. I just must have slid the MT's on farther for those pics.

Don't have any available. I do have an extra set of Desert Dogs and Mud Terrains I'd sell. The Mud terrains are great tires for rock crawling.

I've ordered an Aoshima kit so the Mud Terrains sound good. I'm not sure if I would make use of 2 types of tires though. Which do you think is better?
