MR03s versus MR03s2: need info

Good morning ladies and gents!

From what I have gathered and what I can infer the differences are as following:

1.) Port for gyro unit is available on the S2 and not the S1?

2.) Better electronics? A special Sports 2 circuit board is mentioned in one of the captions on the Kyosho site saying the "chassis is equipped with a special Sports2 circuit board. Combines high performance and compatibility with all body styles. " How is the new board more stable? Or by saying better electronics do they just mean that it can now accept the gyro?

3.) Any other changes from the MR03S to the MR03S2?

Can someone please confirm / deny each point please?
It will help guide my purchase.
Getting 2 soon, one for me and one for my son.

this is what I could find. it seems the added the gyro port, also looks like the steering was improved on the Sports2 boards.

From its launch in 2013 the MINI-Z Racer Sports MR-03 Readyset made it easy for a wider group of racers to enjoy the precision control of its MR-03 base chassis that built its formidable reputation on the MINI-Z racing scene. This next generation upgrade remains faithful to this original concept. One major upgrade is the advanced gyro unit (MZW431) that can be mounted on the Mini-Z AWD Sports, is also able to be mounted on the MINI-Z Racer Sports 2 MR-03. The gyro’s sensitivity can be adjusted through a volume control installed on the chassis. Redesign of the steering control setup to accommodate the gyro has resulted in higher degree of steering precision compared to the previous model. In addition, when used in conjunction with the KT-432PT transmitter (sold separately), the gyro sensitivity can be adjusted directly from the transmitter, regardless of the volume setting on the chassis. The same applies to steering force settings, which can also be adjusted from the KT-432PT transmitter. With these two functions, precise setting can be achieved to optimize steering feel to your individual driving style. The MR-03 chassis lays the foundation for the new racing experience of the MINI-Z Sports 2!

it's a lot of translation issues and advertising. as far as it's clear, only the gyro.

I think you maybe right. If these was substance beyond the gyro port wouldn't you think Kyosho would be less ambiguous and even maybe list out the differences....? I would! This can only mean translation issues and advertising unless someone who owns both can chime in.

This also begs the question. How much is the gyro worth and how does it compliment the RWD models? In my case I can get a MR03s for $30 cheaper then the MR03s2.

I don't know anyone using a gyro with 2wd. Worthless in my opinion, just my opinion though.

I might have missed it... wondering if you could use the new kt432 pt on the older mr03s and motorcycle? How about the regular mr03 and the mr03ve and AWD variants? Apologies if this is redundant...

the KT432 will work with the MR-03S and MR-03S2 only. it's basically the same radio as the Flysky IT4.

Cool thanks for the info... At least you can use the older mr03s... Kinda sad that you can't use it for the other models as well...

So I guess from the above the only difference between mr03s and mr03s 2 is the gyro plug and slightly improved steering? Anybody have both that wouldn't mind sounding off?

The sports 2 board doesn't have the ability to stack fets

I saw a comparison between the two boards on TRP channel. On 03S, there's place for another 2 fets. On 03S2, there's no place for it, but they were talking that stack fets are the only way to go if you want more power. But I think it requires changes on the chassis and top cover.

perhaps, THIS video would be worth making sticky as it's an often repeated request.

can't find those pictures on their site. it's a shame they never kept up the English version of the site/blog. it's a fantastic site with video's, current blogging, etc. just too bad for us here in the US where a majority do not speak more than 1 language.

Well... I don't speak Spanish either, but Spanish is pretty close to Portuguese, so I always try and understand 80% of it. Please let me know if there's any TRP video you are curious about and I can try to help you asap.

THIS was the video I was talking about. You can see the pictures of the 2 boards during the video.
