What size motor is this?
The motor in my Focus, it's a round can, but the diameter is slightly larger than the 130 size in all my other cars. IIRC, that would be the same size as a Mini T, right? So I'm thinking I could pick up a used Mini T stock motor, juice it with 8 cells, and toss it in the Focus. Whaddya'll think?

I don think its a mini-t motor...those are quite large but would be wicked fast in a z...there would be a host of mod problems though....

Oh a 1/12th scale...a mini t motor may work but it will be under powered. Maybe you can cram a regular 540 size in it?

nah, its just a cheap car, nothing over the size of a 370 or 380 will fit in it. Eric if you want and will be there i can take the motor out of my Mini Quake (380)and bring it since it aint running this Thursday, and see if it fits

No it isn't a 180 size; that's the same shape as a 130; just longer. This can is round all the way 'round. It's a little longer than the 130, too. I just want to know what size it is so I can snag a higher output version; cuz this one isn't exactly hi-po.

The minit stock motor is a 280, most of the upgrade motors are modded 300 size. Some of the other 18th scale trucks (venom mini giant, duratrax whatever) are 370 size.

Ok cool. I think I'll swing into the LHS (shudder) to look at the upgraded motors to see which ones are the right size. And I really doubt I could work anything other than the right size into that bugger. Edit-Radio Shack carries various electric motors, I'll pop in there tonight and take a looksee at 'em. I got some stuff to buy anyway.
See, a guy I know has a 1/16th Focus drift car that he bought from my store and I was telling him to come race with us sometime; he'd buy a Z the next day.

Oh I want one. You've got a Mini Quake. It's not fair.
And Fred-I told his lady to tell him when and where; we'll see if he shows.
