Good afternoon ALS Supporters!

In case you didn't get the email update please see the following summary. Race Report is STILL in the works and will be posted on our website when complete.

...It is all a blur from Friday afternoon onward for many of us and I’d like to first personally thank our team here at NCRC Racing: Chris South, Gary Stephenson, Al Romack, Mike Lombardo, Tom Dresser, Ameeta Singh, Praveen Pai, and Bryan Fung. All put in a major effort to pull off yet another amazing and fun event for the cause. I am confident that we have not only impacted lives with those living with the diagnosis but we now have expanded awareness of this disease.

Our goal was to raise $3700, a 20% increase from last year. We expected somewhere around 70 cars as that was what we had last year but with the economy and competing events on the race calendar we knew it was going to be a challenge. We pulled in a crowd of 48 cars. However, thanks to an insane list of prizes generously donated by our sponsors (below) we managed not only to meet our goal but to knock… it… out… of… the… park!!! We were able to raise an amazing $5700!! This is an absolute record for our event and will be a hard act to follow in 2011, but we will try.

We had a number of talented drivers in all categories so please keep an eye out for our updated summary of the racing found on www.ncrcracing.com.

Thanks go out to all the drivers for providing an excellent source of entertainment for our spectators.

To our sponsors, we cannot thank you enough for your faith in our event and your generosity – you are all awesome (in alphabetical order):
Atomic RC
AutoArt
Baltimore Grand Prix
Baguettes Express (La Fontaine Bleue)
Bowles Fluidics Corp.
Castle Creations
Chicken Out Catering
EmotoTech
Final Thoughts RC Club
Flambeau
Holiday Inn Express, BWI
Horizon Hobbies (Spektrum Radios)
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Kyosho
MiniZRacer
Ripken Baseball
SMD Transportation Mgt Inc
Team Scream Racing
Washington Capitals

We will continue to raise the bar for 2011 and look forward to seeing and working with all of you again.

With Heartfelt Thanks,
Russell Hester
