looking ahead to getting Season 21 started with track selections, registration open and a few clarifications:
1. will PN 2.5W chassis set be legal as a chassis replacement kit?
3. maybe this has already been addressed but are the Atomic AMZ/AMR legal?
4. maybe this has already been addressed but are the mrx chassis legal?
5. are the PN/Atomic/Gogo Lap PCB's legal?
1. will PN 2.5W chassis set be legal as a chassis replacement kit?
Yes, the PN 2.5 Chassis is legal for the stock and open classes as it is a "stock type" chassis meaning it's not a flat chassis design and is similar to the Kyosho plastic Chassis.
3. maybe this has already been addressed but are the Atomic AMZ/AMR legal?
Not Legal in the Racer Classes, they are Legal in the Open class however. the racer class I'm going to limit to plastic chassis' only.

PN Spektrum boards are legal as previously discussed in stock and other classes. I don't have any info on the Gogo Lap PCB's so for now they should be consider not legal for any class.
Just a general Note any Chassis that is a flat bottom carbon chassis replacement I don't see as fitting in with the stock classes. However it there are add on modifications to the chassis like JesseT's improvements that are an add on with motor pod I think those fit with in the current rules as they are essentially add on modified parts.
All of them are legal to be run in the Open class however as long as they fit they scale parameters.
why not? the flatter profile is only subtly different than an MR-02 in the end. it's a flat, wide format with batteries slightly lower in elevation. given kyosho discontinued the 2 part chassis/cover, some may not want to migrate to the single piece cover/chassis. just spit balling as i do not own nor have i purchased the PN 2.5W chassis.
i feel your distinction between a pan car/CF plate chassis design is fairly straight forward and easy to define/regulate.
I do plan on building one, I have the chassis but still need to gather the needed items to finish it out. I think we'll allow it for now and see if there is a need to re-evaluate it after this season.
We allowed the VE chassis and board running a 5500 or slower brushless and they still really aren't changing much in the ranks with the speeds even though they are faster they are have a different feel and don't really give a competitive edge to those using them. I feel this will be the same.
