I must be nieve but I’ve never ‘tweaked’ a brushed motor. I honestly don’t even know how that is done. My personal opinion is that if that is what someone needs to do to make up for skill, that’s their problem and not something that you can effectively police without sealed motors and no one wants to get into that mess. HFAY operates on the honor system and club judges and well, I expect my club members to act accordingly, meaning honorably. If someone knows they have club members doing otherwise, it is incumbent upon the club judge to handle the situation and I fully expect that this is happening when necessary, if necessary at all, again, maybe my nieve assumption but have to believe we all want to win honorably, otherwise its simply a sham, hollow victory. The reputation of my club is something I take pride in and nurture and at times discipline it accordingly and suspect all of the other club leaders feel the same.

Anyone want to discuss possibly allowing the Kyosho 4100KV motor? I’ve driven this in a bone stock EVO with 6t and was able to run full throttle on HFAY track without letting off. It’s about the closest to stock motor speed I’ve experienced in BL.

I'm all for it. Would be super nice to be able to point new drivers interested in HFAY at a chassis set instead of a secondary motor purchase and installation.

My only point was compared to BR motors BL motors are and still stay a lot closer in performance to each other and the intended speed envelope even after rotor tuning and any other possible applicable voodoo which are super limited. As for my own 70T (my only BB 70 purchase) it was a dud speed wise out of the pack which can be verified by looking at the rounds I used it so even though it was nostalgically fun to use it I ditched it for the last round.

Even though I have only seen it used on video pretty confident either it will not have an advantage either at any gear ratio or like you mentioned be close to an average 3500 when its geared at either 6/44 or 7/44 and equivalent 64P ratios. with some testing to confirm where it stands it will make a great addition to HFAY

I didn't take it any other way I always hear about people suspecting BR motors have been tweaked but never done it myself, never seen it done bu have no doubt that some do.

I always buy 70t motors in 3's because one is always faster than the others and simply choose the best of my options. Just routine practice for me after all these years running BR motors, be it stock or 70t. I do have one and only one BL car and have spent far more money on BL motors for that one car than all the BR motors in the last couple years combined. I simply do not understand the markup manufacturers ask for these as it's really a big hindrance. If the OEM manufacturer can then resell the same thing at a fraction of the cost, it's a good indicator of the markup put on these. I hate buying BL motors simply because of the sticker shock that comes with them and in my experience, have yet to prove to be more durable or reliable as I'm repeatedly told they are.

I'll continue to run BR motors until they aren't available anymore. I'll still keep one BL car to get practice with since they drive so different.

I agree, the 3500kv V3/V3.1 difference should not be an issue on HFAY size tracks as power is much less of a factor compared to larger layouts. Even when going up to a full 5500kv in open class I only gain a few laps at best. So even if some of the V3's are significantly faster it won't necessarily translate into a noticeable advantage.

On larger tracks it can be an issue as the FB discussion has pointed out. For me at least, on our large club track up until September I was running my V2 3500kv motor (on lithiums) and running neck and neck with the PN team drivers running V3's.

There are a few things that need to happen so we can get things setup for Season 29.

- We need to get everyone who submits results assigned as a judge for HFAY so make sure you or the person posting times for your club is registered on the nextlevel website. This allows HFAY to control exactly who posts results.

- We the clubs to register their communities for Season 29. Same as before.
(Done by the Club)

- We need to accept their registrations. Same as before.

- Upload any additional tracks that may be used in this season. This is new for you but it is easy enough. I saw some new track options on the forums posted and if we use them we need to add the layouts.

- Create all the rounds needed for the season.

Things that the judges need to be aware of for posting the results for next season. Some of these won't be available until we create the races.

To post results to the HFAY race
- Login to Next Level Timing ( https://nextleveltiming.com/login )
- Visit the Season 29 championship rounds page ( https://nextleveltiming.com/communit...hampionships/6 )
- Find the race you want to post results to and select the green button that says "Post Race Results"
- Select the community you are posting results for
- And fill in the form fields, upload results, and click save at the bottom of the page

for the tracks this season, I used the 4 new tracks and then used a random generator to select another track that fit the 8 x 12 tile configuration.

The initial setup for the season is complete and if we need to tweak the Manual that can be discussed. I did make a few changes that were suggested but that doesn't mean it's perfect.

I don't recall seeing DRIVER’S CHAMPION, FIRST RUNNER UP, SECOND RUNNER UP or CLUB CHAMPION announced for Season 28?

I tried to register SEOZ yesterday but the club is not showing up under registered communities yet.
We have added to our club for season 29 and will have some more drivers joining us. Should be at least 2 more maybe as many as 4 more. So 6-8 drivers for us this season.
