How do you mount the custom bodies?

Guys,

I've just started to make a MR2 and RX7 FD body for my z, I already got a GPM custom H plate for the z and the length seems to be correct, even though it's a little bit hard for what I like.

Now my question is, what do you guys use for the side mounts and front mount? I know it would be nice to use the one from the original body but I don't have any spare body around right now, any input on what materials is good for making them?

Thanks!!!

Yeap, right now I uses the side mount from one of my good bodies, .... and then I used lexan scrap pieces from my 1/10 with some putty to make the fron't mount, which is really ugly ... oh well ... I need a better solution, can't kill my good bodies like that.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

Although I have yet to finish any of my model bodies mainly cuz most of them are incomplete kits I am just practicing on... I have done a few. In most cases I try to leave as much of the chassis/body/interior plastic on it as possible, this usualy allows a hole or someting to be cut out for the nose plate, leaves some area for screws to screw into with out poking through body etc... In the case of my lotus I used the interior to hold it to the car.. side by side, it cant move side to side, so I then just screwed a pair of screws in with a knob that I can wrap a rubber band around thus giving the side mounts... the nose mount was part of the underside of the body... and I just cut a hole in there to suppport the nose... although I did have to redo that.. its kidna been built up around with sheet plastic now...

Other ways of doing the nose plate are to just add in the plastic and cut the hole... sometimes adding the hole AFTER you glue/afix it to the body can let you center it after the glue dires..

I tend to do the nose mount first.. then the side mounts.. this way I can center the chassis and front tire were I want it... before I goto the hassle of the side mounts...
