Bearings are very important, after that, diffs... then swingshafts... Although, with the right diff settings, the stock swingshafts wont fail as easily.

The car that I am planning to run for the Hatch class is the car I raced for Rally through most of the season (I did run a different car in the first race, which was the car I ran in Narrow the last 2 races). I installed bearings, diffs, swingshafts and 1d front knuckles. I was very satisfied with performance. It was the first time that I used 3Racing swingshafts, and I was very impressed with them.

What have you done to your car already? I like the fact that the AWD is starting to make a comeback. Especially as the weather gets colder and grip starts to go down a little...

I haven't done anything to it yet but i think it has bearings and it ha aluminum toe bars and heat sink. I got it right before the rally series and since i don't know anything about them i drove it as is rather than try and setup a rally car for 1 series.

Tom - yes i agree i'm probably getting in over my head

We have yet to really figure out how to evenly match AWD and 2WD cars in a spec race. So far, the closest we've come is AWD w/ X-Speed and 2WD w/ 70 turn like we run in Narrow.
R u sure the berera can fit a HM mount. I played with it last night and it seems really tight.

It better be. I want to try it a 2wd. Otherwise I have theUnion Jack Mini Cooper in blue. Just any 90mm class would be fun.

Everyone: Points are updated for Wednesday. Check out Danny in Div 1 and me in Div 2! Bump ups/downs will be critical with only 2 weeks left!

Roland: Thanks for putting up the races. Those were some good ones. It felt good to win a race again - it had been a while! Thank God for Kyosho 38-20's!

Marty: I saw the press conference and (of course, emotional me) my eyes watered, my arm hair stood up, and I was like "Oh my God - that car is awesome - I want a new Tony jacket!" I am waaayyy to emotional when it comes to cars I love! I never got the Old Spice / Office Depot jacket because the sponsor logo so large wasn't that cool. I always bought stuff that was predominantly "14". I can't wait to get a Mobil 1 jacket! The black and white car is beautiful, and I like the addition of more black on the Depot car. Of course, the next day Nascar.com sent the order form to me for the die cast, but I can't do it right now. I do, however, want the jacket for Christmas! Oh, and 1st AWD upgrade - the heat sink for the motor, followed by the PN shaft support for the chassis (keeps the chassis from breaking at the shaft bearing) and then font and rear knuckles (.75° F, 2.0° R - IN STOCK!) After that, get an antenna - even if you have 2.4 - to bounce the car back onto it's wheels after you roll over!

EMU: I don't have any Lancia's in stock right now. The Alfa Brera is fine for hatchback. The TT is not a hatchback. Just to clarify to everyone, I consider a hatchback to be an integrated back window, rear lid assembly, with typically a more vertical rather than horizontal trunk deck. In real life, hatchbacks would include the VW Golf, 92-95 Civic bubbleback, Hyundai Accent, Ford Focus ZX3, and cars like those. A Hyundai Tiburon would not be a hatchback because even though the rear deck and window open together, they are more horizontal like a coupe.

We're going to run hatch after the Wide and Narrow races. It makes it easier for people who can't stay late, and it should be easier and not as late as the last 8 weeks without having to set up the rally track. If we don't take too long in between, we can even run 2 qualifiers.

Can't wait to race tonight!!!

I didnt even see the cars yet, I'll have to go look. I like my Old Spice jacket because the lettering is not as large and in your face as the Office Depot is.

I have the heat sink and dont even know what a shaft bearing is Yup I'm in over my head on this one

I do miss having my plastic tube antenna from the AM cars to roll me back over.

Marty, the drive shaft runs thru the center of the car. You the piece Al is talking about holds the shaft down. If you get one I can help you with it, it's more of a small tab with a screw....

Marty, On the AWD, I typically like to run 1-1.5d front camber, and as Al said about 2d rear camber. I think that .75d is not enough for my driving style, and setup.

Clockwise now Thanks

Im looking forward to the hatch class... should be lots of fun.
