These have just been released for the dslots, along with the jet alliance DBR9 and the alternative compuware corvette.
The body clips need changing over as the dslot uses a different clip. I will take some better pics tonight with my decent camera.
Its just a case of changing the rear body clips over to a set from an old dnano ASC.
Do you know if it's possible to get these clips by themselves? I have a pair of 911 GT3 DSlot bodies. Also, what's the best way to remove the clips without causing damage?
Hmm, good luck finding a McLaren fitting kit. I think you'd have to buy the pieces to make one yourself these days unless it gets re-released by Kyosho.
And then you still need a body to sacrifice to get the mounts.
I'd love a brightly colored McLaren body, my Aston looks awesome but is quite dark.

I use a 1mm drill bit,a sharp knife and take my time. You have to get a set of clips from another body, they are not sold seperately.

You only need the clip set,not the whole fitting kit as front and rear ends can easily be bought seperately. I will be posting pics of all 3 bodies later.
Yes, please share how the mounts were modded. Our local HobbyTown is getting these 6 new Dslot43 bodies in and I'd like to fit them on my dnanos. Especially the new 'vette bodies.
Thanks Kryten for the inspiration
I bought the Fina Mc Laren whole car including the slot car chassis for the fraction of what one would pay for a dnano body
First I thought I would 3d print the side mounts then I realized that only a small modification of the slot car mounts was needed. They need to be relocated forward about 2mm and thinned. Here is the result.
The side mounts I designed and did not use finally.
I'm very happy with the result. I did not use the Ueno Clinic McLaren too often because of the dark livery but now its ok.
