HFAY front end rules question.

So I've broken some stock front end parts on my HFAY car and I want to upgrade a bit, but I want to make sure I stay in spec. As I read the rules, I can get aluminum upper and lower as long as it works in the "stock manner". So that basically means no pn double a-arm, but the other PN or xpower aluminum upper and lower arms are okay as long as the bottom arm is unpivoted? Thanks for the help!

It would appear the rules are in need of an update again as there are now several mass production platforms in the scale that are excluded.

Anyone have a link again to the most current version of the rules? I thought we were on Season 23 rules but the website still lists Season 20.

You can get to the season 23 rules by going to the Season 23 results page and clicking on the "manual" button. Here is the link where I found it. http://www.howfastareyou.com/events/index/278
It doesn't address the issues you brought up. My small club only runs Kyosho or PN 2.5, so that is not a problem for us, but maybe that needs to be revisited.

I'm hoping to order parts before Kenon closes so I can be ready for season 26 this July. Am I correct in reading all aluminum parts are okay, but you can't use a double a-arm set up? Of course some of the newer platforms you addressed come with more advanced suspensions, so that might open up a whole new can of worms.

As far as I know we have been running the PN double A arm front end for a few seasons now.

Thanks Mike, I decided to just replace my broken knucke and call it good. I have been guilty of too much bling without the driving skill to justify it lately. I love the looks of the double a-arm and would love to try it sometime.

I'm sure it's been answered before... too much history to dig through. One day I'll get around to building an FAQ out of all the questions/answers asked here.
