The bearings are awesome! Just got them in. The front MR02 are 1/2 shields and they spin forever, as good as ceramics, for 1/3 of the price for a full set. The AWD bearings are just as good as Kyosho bearings for a fraction of the price as well...

An email from one of our customers:
"I finally got a chance to check out the new Reflex Racing SSG2WD tires on my HFAY car and they performed flawlessly. Our RCP track is a little old and very dusty, and the tire had a tremendous amount of grip."
I have been racing 98mm MR02 Mclaren until the atomic race that was held a month ago. I needed to run 94mm to get more rear traction... on the same layout, I tried the 98MM McL again with the Kyosho 20's in the rear. The car spins out almost every turn not unless I baby the throttle. After 15 mins of running the Kyosho 20's I then tried the SSG2WD (reflexracing tire). Man, this thing hooks up like I was running my 94mm SC430! I have tried Kyosho 30's, PN 15 and now running PN 10's in the front just so I can have steering on-throttle. I can not even tell if there was a tweak on the car because these tires are hookin' up like crazy!
SSG2wd for the MR-02, only 1 compound right now. (SS which means Super Soft). I use them with Atomic AW 40 fronts or GPM 20s with tread. Tires that have a ton of grip are needed for the car to steer as TJay found out.

Just got my new AWD up and running this weekend. I am running stock shaft, ATM ball diffs, PN alum motor pinion, ATM spur, ATM shaft 8 pinion and the new reflex racings bearing. With these new sets of bearing my awd is super smooth, quiet and efficient... others thinks that my car is a 2wd because of how quiet and smooth the car goes around the track.
These bearings kick a$$. AVID did us real good by these. I've always stuck by the MZR dry bearings for maximum performance, but lately I've just been using other brands to try them out (cost/convenience/etc.) Most other brands you have to blow out the grease or oil, etc and relube. Even then they just don't spin very free. I built up the Pro27 with the AVID/Reflex bearings, and they spin free straight out of the package. I'll be retrofitting all of my cars with them from now on!
To be honest, we intended these bearings to be a low-cost alternative to high-performance ceramic/dry bearings, but I'm VERY happy to say that they've exceeded all performance expectations. These are GREAT bearings at a AMAZING price. At $10 for MR-02 and $15 for AWD, you can afford to kit out all of your cars and have spares on hand (great for MR-02 front tire/wheel swaps and diff rebuilds). Mucho respect to AVID for making this happen.
