PN MR03 Tower Bar

New PN MR03 Tower Bar
-Allows use of washers on the suspension arm to adjust caster 0-3 degrees.

-Use the M2X0.2mm (#700501) shims under the bar to raise the bar up from the servo cover. This will lower the car without changing suspension geometry.

-Stock servo cover is used. Only the suspension mount area is trimmed off. Dust will not get into the servo gear just like in stock configuration even if the tower bar is raised.

I spy a lower alm. front-end bar + PN's super-slick MR03 fr. suspension alteration (No lower "Ball" kingpin swivel). It will be cool once both pieces are available, which will really improve the suspension smoothness, I for one prefer the OEM Kyosho front suspension setup (Inboard springs).

Love that PN orange... Orange is know to make cars go faster...hehe

This does change the suspension geometry, specifically raising the front roll center. Very subtle but handy tuning aid.

Haven't tried shimming the bar yet, but instead of cutting off the "suspension mounts" on my Wide stock cover, I used the Narrow stock cover (which I have plenty of), preserving the wide top cover for future use.

The first post says 0-3 degrees of caster, is that true? The stock way with PN Alum. arms only gets 1.8 max, or something very close to that. Can anyone verify?

anyone have issues with installing the narrow tower bar? i had to cut a good deal of plastic off the cover to get the bar to fit and now the washers are so tight the arms do not swing freely but have lots of tension against the shims which frankly, don't fit up against the chassis well. i had to cut back the chassis a bit just to get the arm pin to fit.

Can anyone confirm that with this MR03 PN Alm. Tower Bar that you are now able to get more caster than if you only use the PN MR03 Alm. Upper Suspension Arms?

I don't think so, I've been using it for a while. The tower bar retains the same geometry as stock, I have not been able to fit more caster shims. That's the whole reason why I tried reversing it.

LARRY - i put the PN blue shim in for castor instead of the 2 shims that come with. That gives alittle more castor.
