I'm a Mac user / Windows noob, so my explanation is sketchy, but there's a step after you install the drivers where you have to go into... Device Manager?... and assign the ICS adapter to a port.

Did you select the correct com port on the drop down that's inside the computer picture? Also, you need to read first.

So you come on here complaining that your ICS is not working, People are trying to help and you arent't answering their questions. Then you declare that you aren't buying another Kyosho because of this. Have you even contacted Kyosho for help?
I lot of people have had a hard time getting the ICS to run but they eventuality get it running. If you really want help then work with us. We are only users and don't work for Kyosho.

If you are using the newer cable version, did you try flipping the way the cable is plugged into the adaptor? Might be upside down.

one or two post on here you take as complaining
Posted issue elsewhere sametime as here an had a wave of advise in short time As you stated yes LOTS of customers of this Evo product have issues with it out of box(Steering related & self timeish reverse) which require ics so we spend a further $$ to amend factory error...
uninstalled/reinstall 3 times on laptop an also installed on 2 other computers an all same result even with 5 different chassis ve /asf boards.
yes contacted kyosho has to be shipped to france or japan, before i go about that i get replacement ics adaptor first.

I am no stranger to the whole ICS issues. My new adapter saves one thing and when reading from an older, shows something else. I have the old and new HS adapter and seems the older one works better.

Mine has 3 pins that go into a black plug with a red wire and a white wire. I can unplug it, rotate it 180˚ and plug it back in. That's what I meant.

The black plug is meant to go in only one way as it is keyed that way with the port on the adapter.
The mistake i made was plugging the 3 wire cable into the adapter and not then using the two wire jumper from that cable to the ICS port on the car. Not sure why they didn’t make one cable instead of having to adapt to an adapter but that’s the mistake i was making. I also found that the new adapter was saving settings that the prior version adapter then read differently so there is definitely something weird going on and I’ve stopped using the new version HS adapter and will go back to using the only HS adapter.
I was hooping the 3rd party guys would have cracked the programming by now so that we could use the Bluetooth adapters but alas, doesn’t seem to be happening.

Been using 1st gen Bluetooth ics since released an been breeze to use, hopefully evo be catered soon.
What I'm gonna do is reconfigure 2 pins on plug( black /white opposite way)
Once blue light on board goes solid I'm in!! just flashing currently.

I’ll confirm this weekend but I have both old and new HS adapters and recall the LED blinking all the time regardless but still read/write. I’ll be at the track tomorrow and will double check how mine behave.
Very much waiting for 3rd party compatibility with EVO. The Bluetooth adapters were always so easy to use.
