ATOMIC 2007 Canada Cup Regional Race (Nov 17-18)
MiniRC.ca in conjunction with Aberdeen Center, Competition RC and affiliated r/c hobby stores, is proud to announce our first World Class Mini-Z Racing event. The first ATOMIC 2007 Canada Cup Regional Race is going to be held on November 17 and 18, 2007 at Aberdeen Center mall (center atrium).
In additon to racing against some of our best local drivers, out-of-town hobby stores are sending in some of their best drivers, too. Drivers from at least Victoria, Kamloops and Washington State are expected to show up for this event! MiniRC.ca will be providing the RCP racetrack and Core Lap Timing System.

Very glad to be working with you guys on this race
We are expecting a very high turnout for this event, so hurry up and get your spot secured. We might have to limit the entries if the response is as good as indications are showing that it will be.
Moderators can we get this post to be a sticky like the other Atomic Cup posts?

Awesome news!
Not only will the winners from Pro Stock and Open Modified classes be invited to the Atomic 2008 World Cup Finals! Atomic will cover the costs for Hotel and meals!
*** Special Notice ***
Some of our sponsors want to give the out-of-towners a break on entry fees. Register for 1 class, and you can register for the 2nd class for free! Please note that you will have to register and pay for both classes up front, a refund will be issued a few days before the race (to reduce the paperwork). To qualify for the 2nd class free entry you must reside outside of the G.V.R.D. area. Remember to register early as well to take advantage of the reduced cost per class
This race is open to all racers form the US and Canada
Also be sure to register early!
$20 Early Registration per class (before 2007/11/01)
$25 Registration per class (after 2007/11/01)
Please note that the City Challenge is limited to 10 teams on a first come basis

A suggestion...
While visiting Vancouver to attend the Atomic Cup Race, I would recommend going on sightseeing tours of our local attractions and mini-z stores. Here is a list of shops with racetracks:

The racetrack will be up and ready for practice for the following times:
Nov. 17 (Saturday) - 9 am to 10 am
Nov. 17 (Saturday) - 7 pm to 9 pm - this is tentative and is subject to change
Nov. 18 (Sunday) - 9 am to 10 am
Race qualifying will start each day at 10 am (sharp).
PLEASE ALLOW SOME TIME TO CHECK-IN EACH DAY WITH RACE OFFICIALS. Everyone will be required to submit a pictured ID and will be assigned a transponder. DEALERS, PLEASE ADVISE YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Wow, from the entries so far, the field's gonna be really big this year. Looks like it's gonna be a sleepless night of preparations tonight. Pics and videos will be up next week if we remember to take them .
