Best tires for carpet track
What are the best tires to use for running mini z's on carpet? The ones that came with my ASC just make it slide all over the place! I think the Kyosho 20 deg High Grip Tires are what I need, but i'm not sure...

Standard setup is fine on carpet: 20 degree rears and 30 degree fronts. 20 degree radials on the rear work well too.

Try 10 shore ATM Vpattern rear and 20 shore ATM Vpattern or slicks front.

Its great to hear more people talking about carpet racing. First time I tried it, I could not believe how smooth and consistent the track was lap after lap. But then it dawned on me that is how it was with 1/10 and 1/12 scale carpet racing why was I so surprised.
Yep I second that. The Atomic AR-144 10 degree for rear and play around with the narrow fronts; the Atomic 20 degree (ar-141 lots of front bit, maybe to much), Atomic 20 degree slick (ar-231 lots of front bit) or 30 degree (ar-142 good front bit). I like to play around with the ar-231 and the ar-142

I run the GRP foam tires. They work great on carpet, especially with some sauce on them.

So I looked up all the Atomic ones that Cherub1m suggested, and they are all sold out on Atomicmods... is there anywhere else to find them? My ASC came with 30 deg fronts and rears, and I found some 20 deg radial rears on TinyRC (KYO-MZW38-20). Would those work well if I kept my 30 deg fronts?

there are tons of etailers such as reflexracing and kenon that'll have what you need...tinyrc will have everything as well.
if you in fact got 30d slicks with your ASC they may be good enough as front tires for carpet but a small investment of a couple different tire/wheel combos for front and rear will help you gain experience figuring out grip levels with different tire combos.

The Kyosho 20 or 30 front work ok depending on situation. So far I've not used the Kyosho rear tires on carpet because the Atomic silicon based tire grip better especially after running silicon based tires on the carpet (the silicon coats the carpet). Like Cowboys said you should find them at Reflex, Kenon, EGR mart, Cruzin with Rc and Tiny RC. And many other places. (Many of the places that run RCP tend to run and stock PN, Kyosho tires, and some of the Atomic front tires. From what I hear Atomic has some nice tires for RCP now)
Hope that helps, have fun.

I get my Atomic carpet tires at HKShobby . com or ReflexRacing . net
Kenon does not stock the Atomic tires, but they stock the PN tires...
I have been using Kyosho/ATM tires for RCP for years. On RCP the 40/30d fronts work pretty well. On Carpet, you want the 30/20d fronts and 10d rears.

At Kyosho America (R241 Raceway), I run Kyosho's 30radials front & 20radials rear. I can use Kyosho slicks 30\20, but only if they have been already used versus fresh slicks.
