- Project Land Cruiser 80 -

Some of you might know that my laptop have been down for a week or so, in the main time, I got myself another LMC, their price have been dropped from $150 - $120 for a RTR kit. During the time I don't have access to the internet. I've spend all my free time on this build. The model kit I'm using is a 1/24 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series made by Tamiya. So far, I've got both axles mounted, but still need some improvement. Now I'll let the pics speak for themself.

Update: Now the rear end have 4 links suspension set up. Trimmed up the engine bay and installed the servo, still need to mount the upper links on the front axle.

Nicely done! The frame looks like it fits better now, very legitimate. I can't even find criticism for your projects anymore dude, keep it up!

Thanks man, to get the body mounted wasn't too bad, the hardest part was to get those axles mounted on the frame.

Is there a chrome Toyota emblem you can use instead of what seems to be paint? The imperfect lines are noticeable in the close-ups. Engine looks great, however.

Thanks Brian, I tried to look for them, but can't find one anywhere. So I had to hand paint the emblems.

Update: Mounted the upper link on the front axle, extended rear drive shaft, lowered the ride height a bit, made a little more clearance on the rear for more suspension travel. Now working on the rear left fender flare.

Trimmed up the rear fenders to clear those 48mm tall Rok Lox.

Installing rear bumper. Before they get chopped.

After rear bumper got chopped.

Update: All four wide fender flares are attached to the body, but still need some touch ups on them.

Here's something I'm messing around with the left over putty.

Update: Got the body primed, added running boards, but they are too long, so I have to cut them up to make it shorter, shaved wheel wells, also made a snorkel and a jack.
