Ok! Here it goes.

I want to see a modified stand like the KDR kind, add a turntable lock and cut up the plate where it is needed for better space to work with the car and add a clamp that will hold the car in place?

Some kind of tools stand for the most usful screwdrivers, batteries and the a shaft holding the wheels would be nice to...

//uw

---------

And it would be nice if the stand is like a ground kit that we could build on with the thing that suits each drivers needings!
=)

Simple is good!

car stands like the 1/10 but make it for Mini-Z. They look like this:

..___
/........\

[Ignore the periods]

put like a fan or something underneath for weight[fan + batteries], so the stand won't shift/slide around while you are working on your car.

should have mounting points so it can be bolted to a workbench.

also should have a solid grip on the car so that it doesnt move around. a rotating action would be handy as well.

edit - should fit all 3 types of Z, but the overland and tintop might be the only ones that could practically be made to fit - using the battery clip mounting points.

definitaly make it where you can change the front susp.

also you could put holes for rebuilding overland shocks

and a magnet on the base for the screws you drop

it should also have a place to hold the motor for rebuilds

boy what would i do without cut and paste

i know this might be too complicated but what if you made a stand that you could work on your car but also have a speed checker built in, that way you would not have to take the car off the stand and put the body on etc etc, you could easily check if the part you just installed had any effect on your speed

note: the speed checker would be an option because it would probably be pretty expensive

if it is bolted to a workbench then it is pointless to be CF

stand idea

It should be able to tilt to a few angles in either way for added ease in working on your setup. and have an adjustable height so it is comfterble for you when you work on it.

This one is gettin to be overkill but what about drawers or a few little basins to hold parts like spare screws, locknuts, crystals etc?

This has been said b4 but i like the magnetic parts tray and the swivel idea

also it could start as a base model and then people can just ad on options that they want so this is still affordable to all ppl

i know this is an old post and your probly already far into design but i thought id try and contribute anyways

We've got a full 3D model going; it's going to be very cool; current issue is finding someone to make them, at a reasonable cost; anyone with any resources or contacts, please let us know!

3D Car Stand

I'm one of the fortunate few who have seen it. You will not be disapointed with the final product.
I would be moderate if I said it was awesome.
It meets every requirement I could ever demand from a small-scale car stand. Be patient, Mini-Z will show it to all soon enough
