Rubber and illumination

Firstly your choice of tyre depends on your racing/driving environment. Usually the softer the better, also foam is a good option, but mounting them can be a challenge.
Also, wheel choice makes a difference, especially when deciding on as to fit a wider wheel type.
Read through the tracks and Setup forums you'll learn a lot.

Lights can be fitted to any bodyshell with a little bit of work.
Under the 'Cars And Drivers' Thread, you'll see some great pics of Mini-Z's with lighting kits fitted

Re: Rubber and illumination

Don't forget that too much grip will cause rollovers and spinouts. There is a fine line between too much and not enough grip and that can only be determined with plenty of practice. I spent 2 hours at my local track trying different sets of tires and finally decided that the stock rubber tires were good (out of 1 set of soft foam and medium foam) but I still need to make suspension adjustments and do more fine tuning to see if I can get less oversteer without spinning out.
